BOISE -- A Meridian teen is hoping his doodle will get him a spot on Google's home page.

Justin Whitehead's doodle was unveiled Tuesday at his school, Meridian Technical Charter High School.

The 16-year-old will get to travel to California at the end of May after winning the Doodle 4 Google competition in Idaho. Now he goes up against other winning doodles from all other states. Justin says the idea grew from his efforts to lose weight over the last two years.

I decided I was going to start exercising and lose weight and that was my main goal. So, I started the doodles... basically shows taking fruits and vegetables and making a spray that could potentially alter the flavor and make them taste like dessert because I know everyone likes dessert, said Whitehead.

You can vote online right now for your favorite - the winner gets to have their doodle on the Google home page for a day in June.

Whitehead used a tablet and Photoshop to make the doodle. The national winner gets a $30,000 college scholarship.
