SEATTLE -- A school bus slid into a ditch in Sammamish Monday morning leaving one elementary school student with a sprained wrist.

It happened around 7 a.m. near SE 24th Way and 200th Avenue SE.

The King County Sheriff s Office said the bus was going up a hill when another vehicle was coming down. The bus driver gave the approaching vehicle too much room and slid into the ditch.

The 17 children on board a mix of elementary, middle and high school students were on board. The injured student was treated at the scene released to the parents.
