GARDEN CITY -- Police in Garden City are investigating a stabbing.

Officials say around 7:00 Friday night, officers were dispatched to a stabbing at the West River Inn in the 3500 block of West Chinden Boulevard.

Garden City Police say when officers arrived, they found some hotel patrons providing first aid to a man who was stabbed in his arm and torso.

During the investigation, officers found out that 24-year-old Shaw Logsdon, of Nampa, and 22-year-old David Kirby, of Boise, were having an argument in the 3600 block of Chinden Blvd. When the argument was over, Logsdon and his girlfriend walked back to the inn.

Officials say that as Logsdon and his girlfriend were trying to get into their room, Kirby drove into the parking lot and confronted Logsdon, and that's when a physical altercation started, and Kirby was stabbed multiple times in the torso.

Kirby was transported to Saint Alphonsus Regional Medical Center in Boise with non-life threatening injuries. Lodgdon was taken in by police for questioning.

Police say no arrests have been made.
