CALDWELL -- Fire investigators are looking into what caused a house, under construction, to go up in flames Saturday night.

The fire broke out in the two-story home near 12th and Elgin and was fully engulfed by flames by the time firefighters arrived.

Because the home was under construction, the fire's behavior was altered.

With it being in the state that it was, in construction, it had a lot of openings, so the fire was able to spread through the house pretty rapidly, said firefighter Sean Spencer.

No one was injured, but the interior of the home was destroyed.
