BOISE -- An attempted traffic stop in Boise early this morning led to an accident that sent the driver to the hospital.

The crash happened around 1:30 this morning at the Curtis on ramp to the connector. Boise Police say it started when an officer tried to pull the driver over for driving the wrong way on a road. Then the driver took off and crashed into two trees.

Witnesses say the man driving then took off running. Police tackled him a short time later.

Boise Police say the man is currently in the hospital and will be arrested when he's released.
