CALDWELL -- A man was arrested after police say he crashed his van into a business then drove away Monday afternoon.

Caldwell Police say 63-year-old Miguel Felix hit the building on Arthur Street then backed out and left the area in the badly damaged van.

Police say firefighters in a nearby station heard the crash and were able to follow the van and its trail of fluid helping police find and arrest him.

Felix faces a number of charges including DUI, leaving the scene of an accident, open container, and carrying a concealed weapon under the influence. Officers say his blood alcohol content was twice the legal limit.

Nobody was injured, but police say the van appeared to be totaled.

The building was unoccupied but newly remodeled. Police estimated the damage to be about $50,000.
