MOUNTAIN HOME -- Mountain Home Air Force Base prepared for a major aircraft incident Thursday, and everyone on base from the lowest ranking member to the top commander was involved.

It started with a live fire and fire trucks arriving on scene to put out the flames.

Emergency workers dressed in full gear then took over and responded to fake victims with fake wounds on the runway.

The base says that the training is important to see how all the agencies will work together in an emergency.

A day to day incident may be way easier than what we are doing today, but if they can handle the things we are throwing at them today then hopefully they can handle the easy stuff as it were that we see on a daily basis, said Matt Dietz, Chief of the 366 Fighter Wing XP Plans and Programs.

The base even threw some in protesters and media to help the base prepare for all the possibilities following a disaster.
