ADA COUNTY -- We have a warm weekend in store here in the Treasure Valley and plenty of events going on that you can catch with your family.
Saturday, Downtown Boise is the place to be if cycling is your thing for the Twilight Criterium. The cycling race will take place in the core of downtown Boise and will feature a kids' ride with Kristin Armstrong starting at 2:30 p.m. Some of the most elite cyclist will be competing in the 27th Annual Anderson Banducci Twilight Criterium that kicks off at 3:15 p.m. and should end around 10 p.m.
On Saturday head to Eagle for Eagle Fun Days starting at 10:00 a.m. and ending with a firework display at night. The Eagle Fun Days Parade is scheduled to go from 2 p.m. to 3 p.m. Other events on the agenda are vendors, comedy shows and live music. There is even the annual Rocky Mountain Oyster feed hosted by the Eagle Fire that started at 5 p.m. and ends at 10 p.m.
You can also head up to Idaho City for the Wild West History Association Roundup Saturday. They will have speakers about various Idaho history and Western topics. Later on in the day, there will be a silent and live auction, where proceeds will go to the association.
If you want to rev up your weekend, go to Garden City for 11th Annual Northwest Motorfest. It is happening Saturday and Sunday at Expo Idaho. The event features thousands of classic cars from Idaho, Oregon, Washington, and beyond. Along with the classic cars there will also be tractors, trucks, military vehicles, motorcycles, dirt bikes, food and souvenir vendors, and other attractions. Also scheduled is a Burnout Contest and the Boise Muffler Holeshot Nationals contest.
