BOISE -- Ada County Sheriff's deputies were out again today searching for a man who was last seen swimming in the Snake River Thursday. So far, there have been no signs of the 48-year-old Boise man who is presumed drowned.
Friends of the man, whose name hasn't been released by authorities, say he was last seen Thursday night swimming in the river near the Swan Falls Dam. He was with three other adults.
Gusting winds and rough waters made for difficult search conditions Monday. It was unsafe to put a boat in the river today, but deputies did use dirt bikes to search along both shorelines.
Authorities searched for the man on Thursday night and Friday.
Deputies from Ada, Canyon, and Owyhee counties, along with Kuna firefighters and members of the Boise Fire Dive Team searched in the water and along the river's edge.
Crews reportedly spent most of their time looking about a mile-and-a-half downstream from the Swan Falls Dam.
They also searched from a plane and a boat.
Investigators do not suspect foul play, but do say alcohol was a factor.
