BOISE Easter Sunday had some really nice weather -- a great way to end the season at Bogus Basin. It doesn't seem like the spring weather would make for ideal ski conditions, but for those who skied, the snow wasn't why they went.

It's a little icy, and dirt, but you know I think it's still fun, said Kiayanne Luekenga.

Add slushy to that description and that about sums up the snow at Bogus Basin on this sunny Easter Sunday. The hill wasn't packed for the skiers and boarders who wanted one more chance to hit the slopes.

Just coming out and having some nice family time, just doing something a little different than a typical Easter Sunday, said Cody Luekenga.

Like other end of the year parties dressing up was highly encouraged.

It's about having fun, said Steve Jacoob. It's about the whole environment. We come out here to have a good time, we don't take ourselves too seriously.

While many costumes were just for show, a few had a practical use.

It flows out behind you, you can open up and it slows you down, when you want to speed up you wrap it, open again, said one skier. It's as close to flying as you can get.

From the cookie monster, to an employee dressed up like a hot dog, to a lack of, well, just clothing, Sunday was good fun.

The last day is celebrating spring and it's also kind of a bummer because we're losing the fun that we're having here, but we get to celebrate all the fun we've had all year long, said Jacoob.

And that's what people did. Made the best of another skiing season that has come to an end - much sooner than many would like.

It's kind of hard to wrap up the season early, but as you can see, people love to come out, said Camille Lane.

Bogus even held its own Easter Egg hunt, spreading ribbons and eggs all over the mountain. The ribbons were for the adults and the eggs for the kids.

The adults would trade in the ribbons for raffle tickets - with the grand prize being a pair of skis.

Bogus Basin isn't the only ski resort that called it quits Sunday. Tamarack also closed down its snowboard and ski runs.

Meanwhile, Brundage Mountain will be staying open daily though Sunday, April 7th and Sun Valley says they're having their lifts running through April 14th.

From Monday, April 1st through the end of the season, Sun Valley is extending a special discounted price for Bogus Basin season pass holders. Purchase a Value Season full-day ticket and receive a second one for the same day free.
