BOISE COUNTY -- A Nampa man is dead and another man was hurt after a crash in a popular recreational area of Boise County.

Chief Deputy Dale Rogers says 44-year-old Dale Hartwick died after his Dodge pickup truck went off the road and into Grimes Creek around 10:30 p.m. Friday. The truck landed on its top, partially submerged in the water. The crash was not discovered until the next morning.

Boise County deputies were called to scene a little after 9 a.m. Saturday.

Rogers says 50-year-old Bradley Kenyon was injured and suffering from hypothermia,. He was transported by Life Flight to Saint Alphonsus Regional Medical Center in Boise. His condition is unknown.

First Person pictures sent to KTVB show a mangled truck being pulled out of Grimes Creek.

Roger says investigators are not sure if alcohol was a factor. They are awaiting toxicology results and still want to speak with Kenyon.

There were no sign of brake marks at the scene. The cause of the crash remains under investigation.
