MERIDIAN -- This week Idaho State Police made four marijuana trafficking arrests on Interstate 84 in two days.

On Wednesday, ISP stopped a car between Meridian and Eagle Roads. ISP Sergeant Jason Cagle says an Ada County Sheriff's Office K-9 helped find 4.8 pounds of marijuana. ISP says the drugs were being trafficked from Bend, Oregon to somewhere in Missouri.

Jerame Dale Borgeson and Johnnie Alan Stone were both arrested for trafficking a controlled substance and possession of drug paraphernalia and taken to the Ada County Jail.

On Tuesday, ISP made a stop in Caldwell on I-84 near milepost 28, where ISP says a Canyon County Sheriff's Office K-9 helped find 6.8 pounds of marijuana. Cagle says those drugs were headed from California to Wisconsin.

Nicholas Alexander Aprahamian and Rashaad Malik Butler were arrested for trafficking marijuana and taken to the Canyon County Jail.

Cagle says ISP has seen an increase in marijuana coming through Idaho, which he attributes to surrounding some states legalizing marijuana.
