GARDEN CITY -- The DaVinci Charter School Board officially voted to close the school's doors Monday night.

School board member Andrea Dearden tells KTVB the last day it's open for students is Friday, and the last day for teachers is on February 28th.

Most parents have already found other schools for their children to attend.

DaVinci's director was holding out for a miracle--some kind of big donation to save the school. The school needed $150,000 to finish out the school year, and $300,000 to keep DaVinci open long term.

Dearden says they school will be able to pay their teachers' salaries through the end of February and close with a balanced budget.
