BOISE -- Residents of a southwest Boise neighborhood awoke Saturday morning to find their cars vandalized.

People who live on Cherry Lane near Owyhee Street reported broken windows and slashed tires.

One car owner who spoke to KTVB says finding her car vandalized was upsetting. She calls it a senseless crime.

I woke up to a cop at my door and he said that my car has been tagged and the window was smashed and the mirror was broken, that the tire was slashed and a neighbor called and said there was glass on the ground and kids were playing outside, said Rebecca Martinez.

Police told Martinez that seven other cars were hit overnight on Cherry Lane.

Just last week, approximately 20 cars were vandalized near Boise State University.
