BOISE -- Neighbors helped save a Boise man whose home caught fire Sunday evening.

Firefighters responded to a house fire at 7601 West Tillamook Drive at approximately 8:47 p.m. Sunday.

Ada County dispatchers say the initial report was of a home fully engulfed in flames.

KTVB's Andrea Lutz reports neighbors noticed the smoke and fire, called 911, and helped save a man who was sleeping inside the home.

Firefighters were able to extinguish the flames around 9:30 p.m. and remained on the scene for several hours.
