CASPER, Wyo. -- The U.S. Bureau of Land Management is seeking public comments on plans for a 1,100-mile power line between Glenrock and southwestern Idaho.
The BLM has released a draft version of an environmental impact statement for the Gateway West power line project.
Rocky Mountain Power and Idaho Power Co. first put forward plans for the power line in 2008. The Casper Star-Tribune reports the BLM has delayed the approval process amid internal administrative questions and environmental concerns.
The BLM is taking public comments on the draft study until Oct. 28.
