The Ada County Sheriff's Office is searching for a motorcycle rider after a package that fell off his vehicle turned out to be full of methamphetamine.

Two people in a car saw the motorcycle speed by them on Amity Road between Eagle and Locust Grove at about 9 a.m. Friday. They say the rider was going about 80 miles per hour.

When the car's occupants saw something fall from the back of the motorcycle. they turned around to pick it up. Inside the black plastic pouch was a bag full of white powder.

The pair called the Ada County Sheriff's Office, and deputies verified the bag contained 72.5 grams of meth, or nearly three ounces.

Witnesses say the motorcycle appeared to be a sport bike, but they didn't get a good look at the driver. Anyone with information should call Ada County Dispatch at 377-6790.
