EAGLE -- A bicyclist was injured when she was hit by a car in an Eagle neighborhood Sunday evening.

The Ada County Sheriff's Office says the driver was turning off of Floating Feather Road when she collided with the bicyclist, who was crossing Pebble Beach Way.

The driver told deputies she didn't see the woman on the bike.

The bicyclist was awake when emergency crews arrived. She was taken to the hospital with non-life threatening injuries, deputies said.

The driver was cited for failure to yield.

This was the third collision between a cyclist and vehicle in just more than two weeks.

A five-year-old boy was seriously injured April 14 when he was struck by an 18-wheeler as he rode across Fairview Avenue. And Olivia Schnacker, a 13-year-old Meridian girl, died after she was hit by a car near the intersection of West Ustick Road and Jullion Street April 20.

Neither child was wearing a helmet, police say.
