BLAINE COUNTY -- The Blaine County sheriff used loud noise and other distracting devices to make arrests in a meth trafficking investigation.

Deputies arrested two 29-year-old men at a home on Oak Street in Bellevue. Esteban Villegas-Gamez is charged with federal felony distribution of methamphetamine and unlawful possession of a firearm, and Roberto Javier Garcia was arrested on Idaho felony charges of unlawful possession of a firearm.

The loud noises heard in Bellevue happened shortly after 6 a.m. Thursday. Officials say shots were not fired and no one was hurt.

A related investigation also resulted in five other arrests in Hailey and Bellevue.

Carlos Moya-Diaz, 29, of Hailey, was arrested on one felony count of drug trafficking in methamphetamine. Roberto Martinez-Perez, 34, of Hailey, was arrested on a felony count of aid and abet trafficking in methamphetamine. Ricardo Torres-Gomez, 23, of Bellevue, was arrested on two felony counts of delivery of methamphetamine. Gildardo Orozco, 37, of Hailey, was arrested on two felony counts of delivery of methamphetamine and one felony count of possession with intent to deliver methamphetamine. Ismael Hernandez-Valle, 18, of Hailey, was arrested on one federal felony count of distribution of methamphetamine.
