BOISE -- A follow up to an officer-involved shooting in Bliss that sent two people to the hospital.
Today we learned charges will not be filed against a Gooding County deputy who fired the shots.
On February 2 deputies chased a car on Interstate 84 near Mountain Home to a motel in Bliss.
The Gooding County sheriff says the driver, Hollee Johnston, shot her passenger, Ronald Rice, when he got out the car.
The sheriff says Johnston then turned the gun on a deputy, who then opened fire on her.
Twin Falls County Prosecuting Attorney Grant Loebs said the deputy acted in self-defense and in defense of others.
Johnston is charged with aggravated battery and meth possession. She is currently in the Ada County Jail after being released from the hospital.
