NAMPA - Nampa police officers shot and injured what they say was an aggressive dog while serving a search warrant for drugs last week at a Nampa home.
Officers reportedly arrested three people on a variety of charges inside the home on the 1200 block of SouthCassia Street.
Police say a dog belonging to one of the suspects bit one of the officers during the search.
One of the officers tried to use a taser to subdue the dog, but later shot the animal when it continued to attack.
The dog was taken to the Canyon County Animal Shelter for veterinary attention.
Nampa police are currently investigating an incident where a Filer police officer shot and killed a different dog.
