CALDWELL -- A Nampa woman accused of stabbing her boyfriend to death has pleaded guilty to voluntary manslaughter, according to court records.
Susana Quijano was originally charged with second-degree murder, but has struck a deal with Canyon County prosecutors. She also pleaded guilty to use of a deadly weapon in the commission of a felony.
Prosecutors say Quijano stabbed her boyfriend, Santiago Delgado Quinjada, once in the chest with a knife at his Nampa home on Oct. 12, 2013. She then put the knife in her purse and fled.
She was arrested the next day while walking down a Nampa street.
Quijano s jury trial was set to begin on Tuesday. She is scheduled to be sentenced on April 22. She could face up to 25 years in prison.
