BOISE -- After last week's news that Boise State quarterback Nick Patti would be leaving the Broncos, the team was in need of another quarterback who could step in and play immediately, if needed.
It appears they've found their man.
Junior college quarterback Tommy Stuart confirmed to KTVB Sunday that he has verbally committed to Boise State. He said he'll enroll for the spring semester and will start class on Tuesday.
Stuart is a 6-foot, 190-pound sophomore from Maryland, who played last year at Butte College.
He led his team to a California state championship and national championship last year.
He still has three years of eligibility left, plus a redshirt season if needed.
'Tommy Football,' as he's been called on social media, will fly back to California Sunday and pack up things in time to enroll and start class at Boise State on Tuesday.
