BOISE -- Boise Police are searching for a man wanted for a string of bike thefts.

Police say the suspect is 29-year-old Luke Christopher Cross, and that he tried to sell a stolen bike at a local pawn shop back in November.

When an employee recognized the bike was stolen, witnesses say Cross broke a large glass door trying to leave the store before police arrived, and that he tried to hit a store employee with his car.

Officers say they have evidence linking Cross to the most recent rash of bike thefts in mid-September.

Cross is known to frequent the Boise, Twin Falls and Burley areas, and is 6-feet tall, 170 pounds with sandy hair and hazel eyes.

If you or anyone you know has information on Cross's whereabouts, you are urged to contact Crime Stoppers at 343-COPS (2677).
