PAYETTE, Idaho -- A modified mobile home was rdestroyed by fire early Friday morning in rural Payette County.

Firefighters from three departments worked to extinguish the blaze at 1925 Northeast 10th Avenue in Payette County, according to Chief Steve Castenada of the Payette Rural and City Fire Departments.

Castenada says the modified home appeared to be a combination of two attached mobile homes.

He says two people inside were able to escape the fire; however, a dog wasn't so lucky.

The fire is currently under investigation.
