MERIDIAN -- Dozens of foreign exchange students were officially welcomed to the Treasure Valley on Saturday at a fiesta gathering.

The fiesta was sponsored by Education First Foundation for Foreign Study and held at Bear Creek Park in Meridian. The students and their host families came together to meet each other and learn more about the community.

We have over 25 countries that the students come from, said International Exchange Coordinator Maureen Tyczka. Right now we have Italy, Germany, Thailand, Japan, Tokyo, Korea...they are from everywhere.

The Education First Foundation has been around now for three decades.
