NEW MEADOWS, Idaho -- Idaho State Police say at least one person is dead after a two-vehicle crash on Highway 95 about 13 miles north of New Meadows.

The accident happened around 1:30 p.m. Thursday, when Idaho State Police say 20-year-old Leonardo Cornejo of Weiser lost control of his car, swerved into oncoming traffic and collided with a semi truck.

Cornejo was pronounced dead at the scene.

The semi truck driver, 43-year-old Gregg Ingalls, of Kingston, was taken to St. Luke's in McCall.

The northbound lane was blocked for approximately five hours.

Idaho State Police say the crash is still under investigation.
