BOISE -- The driver of a dump truck was taken to a local hospital just after Noon on Wednesday when his truck rolled at the Quail Hollow Golf Course.

Authorities say the man was apparently dumping sand into a sand trap when the accident happened.

Firefighters say he received minor injuries, but was taken to the hospital as a precautionary measure.

Boise Fire Deparment Battalion Chief Steve Rasulo said firefighters had to remove the truck's windshield in order to rescue the driver, who was trapped for a very short period of time.

Firefighters say the truck was damaged in the rollover, and crews had to clean up leaking hydraulic fluid.

A Quail Hollow employee told KTVB that dump trucks don't typically fill bunkers at the golf course.

I've been here 10 years, it's the first time we've seen that, said Matt Thackeray, a pro shop employee.

Rasulo said golf course employees shuttled firefighters' equipment to the scene in a golf cart.
