MOUNTAIN HOME -- Mountain Home is celebrating the 4th of July with fireworks at the Desert Canyon Golf Course off of East 8th Street.

KTVB's Jamie Grey takes a look at what this 4th of July means to a town known largely for the local United States Air Force Base.

She talked to Mountain Home Air Force Base Wing Commander Colonel David R. Iverson, Mountain Home Mayor Tom Rist, and Mountain Home Fire Chief Alan Bermensolo.

The firework show cost $29,000, was partially raised by volunteers who started going door-to-door back in March.
