BOISE A 48-year-old Kuna man has pleaded guilty to a child porn charge that stems from an undercover investigation and online chats.

U.S. Attorney Wendy J. Olson said Ian Qunicy Winn pleaded guilty Monday to receipt and attempted receipt of sexually explicit images of minors.

According to the plea agreement, Winn engaged in online chats with an undercover agent between October 2012 and July 2013. During the chats, Winn spoke about his interest in the torture, rape and murder of a 6-year-old girl who the agent claimed was his niece. The girl does not exist, but Winn did not know she was fictitious. In June, Winn asked the agent to send him a photo of the girl engaging in a sexual act.

Federal agents served a search warrant at Winn s home in Kuna on August 12, 2013. They seized several computers and electronic storage devices that contained child pornography.

Winn later confessed he had been conducting online searches for sexually explicit images of young girls for about three to four years.

Sentencing is set for June 30, 2014. Winn faces up to 20 years in prison, with a five year minimum.
