MISSOULA, Mont. -- Police in Missoula say there was no foul play involved in the death of an Idaho man whose body was found along the railroad tracks in north Missoula.
Police said Friday the investigation into the death of 34-year-old Keith William Byington had been completed and that it was not the result of criminal activity.
Byington's body was discovered in the Montana Rail Link yard on March 4 by an MRL employee. An autopsy determined Byington died from injuries sustained after being hit or dragged by a train.
An obituary posted on the website of Wood River Chapel in Hailey, Idaho, said Byington died on Feb. 28. He had lived in Hailey and Gannett.
Sgt. Travis Welsh has said Byington had lived in the Missoula area for less than a year.
