NAMPA -- Residents gathered Monday night at the Nampa City Hall as part of a statewide vigil for the Add the Words movement.

Demonstrators lit candles, stood holding signs, and covered their mouths to show solidarity for the cause.

Supporters want Idaho legislators to add protections based on gender identity and sexual orientation to the Idaho Human Rights Act.

Activists came together at the state capitol in Boise, and across the state to show support.
