BOISE -- One person was taken to the hospital after a scooter and pickup truck collided at a Boise intersection this morning.
Ada County dispatch reports the accident happened at 7:53 a.m.
Dispatchers say the scooter was westbound on Emerald Street when it crossed into the path of a pickup truck that was turning from Emerald Street on to Cole Road. The scooter ended up beneath the front end of the truck.
The driver of the scooter, a man in his 20s, was taken by ambulance to Saint Alphonsus Regional Medical Center in Boise. The ambulance left the crash scene with its lights flashing and sirens blaring. No word on the condition of the injured man, but his injuries do not appear to be life-threatening.
The driver of the truck was not hurt.
More than an hour later, traffic at the intersection was still restricted as police investigated the cause of the crash. No citations have been issued at this time.
