BOISE -- Idaho State Police say a 19-year-old Oregon man and a 20-year-old Boise woman escaped serious injury after the vehicle they were in went off Bogus Basin Road and rolled multiple times to end up 90 feet below the road.

Police say Tevin Cooper of Prineville, Ore., failed to negotiate a turn in a 1996 Ford Taurus on the twisting roadway in the Boise foothills about 6:30 p.m. Saturday and went over the embankment.

He was taken to St. Alphonsus Regional Medical Center in Boise. A hospital spokeswoman says he was treated and released the same day.

Police say his passenger was treated and released at the scene.

Police say both occupants were wearing seatbelts.

The road was closed for about three hours.
