NAMPA -- St. Luke's is donating five defibrillators to local organizations, three of which are going to the Nampa School District.

The defibrillators will go to Nampa, Skyview, and Columbia high schools.

Nampa's Salvation Army and a Boy Scout camp in McCall will also get one.

Each device costs around $2,000. The money to supply them locally came from one of St. Luke's auxiliary grants.

Defibrillators are used to shock the heart back to it's normal rhythms.
