STAR -- An emergency meeting is being held Tuesday night with newly appointed commissioners of the Star Fire District.

As we reported last month, three prior commissioners resigned after the public found out the fire district is in debt.

Star Mayor Nathan Mitchell says the Star Fire District is about $650,000 in the hole.

Gov. Butch Otter, who also lives in Star, appointed the new commissioners.

Tonight's meeting will be held at Star City Hall, beginning at 7 p.m.
