BOISE -- How would you like to star in a movie? We're not talking about just any movie, but a short film based on a story by celebrated Idaho writer Alan Heathcock. This week, you have a shot at an audition here in Boise.

Really, you do! But you need to act fast.

The film is called Smoke. The producer and director team will be holding auditions this Saturday between 10 a.m. and 5 p.m. at Boise Contemporary Theater.

However, you can't just show up. Here's what you have to do first:

Those who get a call back will be invited to the auditions this Saturday at BCT. Though experience is preferred, all are welcome to audition. Once again, the deadline to submit your headshot/resume is Noon Friday, April 5th.

The film makers are also auditioning in LA and New York. Smoke will be shot in Idaho in early summer.

ROY ROGERS
Height: 5'9 +, as tall or taller than Vernon
Build: lean, athletic (archetypal cowboy)
Hair/features: dark
Age: 35 to 45 (appearing)

Misc: classically handsome, all-American hero type circa
