TROY, Idaho -- A northern Idaho school district closed its doors Wednesday for a growing flu epidemic.

So many students are sick with the flu in the Troy School District that officials decided to cancel class.

They made the decision Tuesday after a number of children called out sick.

Sixteen percent of them missed school Tuesday, and 27 percent of teachers missed too.

District workers will spend the day disinfecting all of the schools to prevent the flu from spreading.
