BOISE -- A new report shows more Idaho schools are making sure kids don't go through the morning with empty bellies.

The national School Breakfast Scorecard shows that for every 100 low-income children who received lunch during the 2011-2012 school year, 54.5 also received breakfast at school.

That's 14th in the nation, and up from 53.2 percent for the previous year.

The Scorecard is released each year by the Food Research and Action Center, which has a goal of reaching 70 children with breakfast for every 100 who receive lunch.
