MERIDIAN -- A 20-year-old woman was taken to the hospital Sunday after she flipped her car while exiting the interstate, police said.

Meridian Police tell KTVB that the woman lost control of her car on the eastbound off-ramp to Eagle Road and hit a light post, causing the vehicle to roll at least once. The woman had to be extricated from the car, but her injuries did not appear to be life threatening, police said.

A service dog was also in the car, but was not injured in the crash, according to police.

Police say they're still investigating what caused the woman to lose control of the car.
