BOISE A truck driver from Caldwell was not hurt when his semi-trailer overturned on Interstate 84 in eastern Oregon Friday morning, but it did cause quite a mess on the highway.

Oregon State Police Lt. Mark Duncan says 49-year-old Rollie Close was hauling a load of produce and headed eastbound on I-84 near milepost 349 when his 2006 International truck drifted into the center median. He over-corrected, causing the trailer to overturn. The roof of the trailer split open and all of the produce spilled onto the ground.

The accident happened about four miles northwest of Farewell Bend.

Close was wearing a seatbelt and escaped the accident without injury.

Police cited him for failure to drive within a lane.

The Oregon Department of Transportation assisted with the clean up.
