BOISE -- A Boise man has pleaded guilty to two felony counts of vehicular manslaughter for his role in an accident on Curtis Road last March that claimed the lives of two teenagers.

Police say Cody Olson, 20, was driving under the influence and likely going around 90 miles per hour when he failed to negotiate a curve coming off the Connector and hit a concrete wall. Five people were in the car.

Eighteen-year-old Scott Hyde died at the scene. Seventeen-year-old Kelsey Belcher passed away at the hospital a week after the accident. Four of the five occupants were not wearing seat belts and had to been taken to the hospital.

With the plea deal, the prosecutor dropped the DUI and driving without privileges charges.

Olson faces up to 20 years in prison when he is sentenced in January.
