BOISE -- A Boise business owner has pleaded guilty in federal court to one count of offering drug paraphernalia for sale.
U.S. Attorney Wendy J. Olson announced that 25-year-old Adam Schreiner of Boise is the seventh person to plead guilty to this charge in federal court over the past two months.
Schreiner is the owner of Bernen's Pipe Shop in downtown Boise.
He was arrested last May during a sting operation at 13 Treasure Valley head shops. Operation Not for Human Consumption targeted the illegal sales of drug paraphernalia. Six of the 16 defendants have enter guilty pleas and are awaiting sentencing.
Prosecutors say it is against federal law to sell paraphernalia that is intended for drug use, regardless of whether they say it is designed for tobacco use only.
Schreiner faces up to three years in prison and a maximum fine of $250,000.
He is scheduled to be sentenced on Dec. 4.
