BOISE -- A bizarre discovery Monday morning at Eagle High School.

A painter found an injured owl in a trash can.

Both wings were injured and the owl couldn't fly away.

It's unclear how the bird ended up in the trash can.

The Ada County Sheriff's Office helped get the owl out. The bird is now with Treasure Valley Raptor Rescue and is being nursed back to health. It will stay there for a few days until being released into the wild.
