CALDWELL -- What do you do with dozens of hand-tools, bolt cutters, gun cases, cowboy boots, bikes, and other random crime scene evidence?

If you're the Canyon County Sheriff's Dept. crime lab, you sell it to the highest bidder.

Deputies say the latest load of loot seized from the clutches of Canyon County's criminals will hit the auction block at 1 p.m. Saturday.

The auction will be held at the old lumberyard at the corner of 7th Avenue and Belmont Street in downtown Caldwell.

Snake River Auction, LLC will oversee the event.

Auctioneer Roger Nakashima told KTVB he expects to sell a load of gold and silver jewelry as well. However, that loot was being assessed onFriday, so we didn't get a chance to scope it out.
