BOISE -- Treasure Valley businessman Lyle Pearson has passed away. He died over the weekend. He was 87.
Pearson owned the Lyle Pearson Company, a car dealership that sold luxury vehicles in Boise and Spokane, Wash. Pearson was often the spokesperson for his company in TV commercials.
Pearson was a graduate of Twin Falls High School in 1944. After serving in World War II, he went on to graduate from Notre Dame University in 1950. He returned to Idaho in 1969 with his second wife and opened his first car dealership in Boise, selling Mercedes-Benz and Volvo cars on Capitol Boulevard.
Soon after returning to Idaho, Pearson developed a passion for Boise State football. He was an avid Bronco Booster. In lieu of flowers, contributions can be made to the Bronco Athletic Association Scholarship Endowment Fund at 1910 University Drive, Boise, Idaho 83725.
A celebration of his life will be held this Thursday afternoon at the Hillcrest Country Club.
