BOISE -- Boise State athletes spent their Saturday morning helping do yard work for Habitat for Humanity.

With the home already finished, the athletes spent the day getting rid of rocks and preparing the way for sod.

In all, eleven football players, one men's basketball player and three volleyball players made up half of the volunteer crew.

I don't really think of it as giving back, said Ebo Makinde, a Boise State football cornerback. We're just here to help people that need our help. Wherever we can lend a hand, we're willing to help out.

BSU athletes are used to doing community service. In fact, so far this year, football players have volunteered a collective total of 650 hours.
