BOISE -- Police say 58-year-old Arthur Dominguez from Nampa has been charged with misdemeanor DUI after he crashed his pickup into a north Boise home, among other things.
Around 8 a.m. Friday, Boise police and firefighters responded to a report of a pickup that had crashed into the side of a home near N. 8th Street and Sherman Street.
Police tell KTVB that the pickup's driver apparently side-swiped another moving vehicle, lost control, and ended up driving into the side of the single-family home while the family was inside.
The truck also smashed through the home's wooden fence, left a dent in the home's siding, and damaged an air conditioning unit.
Neither the pickup's driver, nor the home's occupants were injured.
Homeowner Nolan Letellier told KTVB that the crash definitely caught his family off guard.
We were standing around in our living room talking, then we heard the sound of an accident -- you know a crash and squeals -- then next thing you know, our house shook, Lettelier said.
Police gave Dominguez a field sobriety test shortly after they arrived on scene. Afterwards, he was booked into the Ada County Jail.
