ONTARIO, Ore. -- A 19-year-old man is in stable condition at a Boise hospital after being found on the side of the road with gunshot wounds.
The Ontario Police Department says around noon Wednesday an Oregon State Police trooper located Ramon Fry on the Yturri Beltline in Ontario. Fry was found with two gunshot wounds, one to his midsection and one to his upper body.
Police say Fry was taken to St. Alphonsus in Ontario where the trooper was able to get more information. Fry was later taken by air to St. Alphonsus in Boise.
The additional information helped police to arrest Lester Earl Reger, 61, of Ontario, and Erlene Kay Reger, 50, of Ontario. They were taken to Malheur County Jail on attempted murder and assault in the first degree charges.
Officers say Fry had a relationship with the couples' daughter.
The Ontario Police Department say the shooting happened at Regers' home on Triand Drive in Ontario.
The investigation is continuing.
The Regers will be arraigned Thursday afternoon.
