BOISE -- The Idaho Humane Society says the eight puppies and two cats that were rescued from a burning trailer Thursday are doing well.

The humane society staff provided care around the clock Thursday night making sure the pets were okay. The staff says they are more lively and are coughing less.

Firefighters found 12 pets inside a 5th wheel trailer that was on fire near St. Luke's hospital in downtown Boise. Two adult dogs were killed in the fire.

The owners of the trailer were not home when the fire broke out.
